Kalutara Beach |Calido Beach

Kalutara beach is a long stretch of golden sand that stretches from Waskaduwa to Payagala. It has its own charm, divided by the Kalu river estuary, and a certain dark hue in the sand around the estuary. Because of its proximity to Colombo, it is a viable candidate for a day trip to enjoy alongside the area’s cultural and religious attractions.

Calido beach is close to the Kalutara Bo tree. It is the stretch of beach between the bay and the Kalu River. It is one of Kalutara’s most popular tourist destinations due to its orderly waves and wide natural walk, dark golden sandy beaches, and smooth white waves. Furthermore, there are some fantastic restaurants on this beach that serve delicious local cuisine.

If you want to get the full beach experience, try some of these beach water sports. Coming from the city, cross the long bridge and take the first left onto “Calido Beach Road” Continue straight until you reach the beach.
